VLFCU High School Scholarship
Each year, VLFCU awards six $500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors. To qualify, the applicant must be a senior in high school and plan to participate post-secondary studies, including professional, vocational, and academic studies that are not limited to colleges and universities. Eligiblity is based on the applicant being the primary account holder of a regular or minor account at VLFCU. The 2017 Scholarship is based on the following criteria:
- Leadership qualities
- Involvement in school
- Involvement in the community

Ohio Credit Union Foundation Scholarship
A $5,000 video scholarship opportunity for Ohio credit union members pursuing an undergraduate degree is available from the Ohio Credit Union Foundation (OCUF). Entrants must answer the scholarship question,“How does being a member of a not-for-profit credit union differ from traditional for-profit financial institutions?”, by creating a 60-second to 2½-minute in length video. Video entries can be edgy, funny, bold, simple, serious – or anything in between. All video entries must be submitted by Sunday, April 30, 2017, at 11:59:59 p.m. EST. Video finalists, selected by a judging panel at OCUF, will appear on the OCUF website and the scholarship winner will be announced May 22.
