3/23/2020 Update: VLFCU Will Remain Open

Yesterday, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced a Stay At Home Order that will go into effect on Monday, March 23rd at 11:59 p.m.

Essential businesses will remain open, which includes grocery stores, gas stations, pharmacies and financial institutions. VacationLand Federal Credit Union will continue to serve our customers with the modified branch operations we began last Thursday.

Branch lobbies will remain closed. Appointments can be made as necessary for members who need to close on loans, access safe deposit boxes, etc. To make an appointment, contact your branch during normal business hours or call 800-691-9299.

Drive-thru services will continue to be available, and you will continue to have full access to your accounts through ATMs, online and mobile banking, and telephone banking. Rest assured that your money is safe and secure.

Many of our employees are working remotely, and we continue to diligently practice social distancing, sanitation and other health protocols to keep you, our employees, and our communities safe.

We encourage you to take advantage of our digital and self-service banking options.

Please visit vlfcu.org/coronavirus to learn more about COVID-19 financial hardship relief, additional resources and future updates. You can also follow us on Facebook.

We’re all in this together, and we’ll get through this together.

3/18/2020 Update: How to Access Your Accounts While Our Lobbies Are Closed

VacationLand Federal Credit Union has decided to take additional precautionary measures to protect our staff, members, and the communities we serve.  As of March 19, 2020, all of our lobbies will be closed to the membership.  Appointments will be scheduled for members who need to close on loans, access safe deposit boxes, and other situations deemed necessary.  Representatives will be available to take your calls during regular business hours. Drive through services and night depository boxes will still be available to our members.  Your accounts can also be accessed through online banking, our mobile app, and CU*Talk teller phone.

As the situation continues to develop, we will update our website and social media sites with any changes in hours or operation.  We ask our members to trust that we have your best interest in mind, and we are available by phone during regular business hours at 1-800-691-9299.   After hours, you can contact us through our website, and we will respond on the next business day.

For those of you who are experiencing a financial hardship, we have added a Loan Extension Form to our website.  If you need to make other arrangements, our Collections department is available by phone to work with you on a repayment strategy.

We are all in this together and thank you for your understanding as we do our part to keep our community safe.  Our staff will work diligently to provide you with the quality financial services you need.

Thank you and best wishes,

Bryan P. Myers

March 13, 2020

At VacationLand Federal Credit Union people always come first. We are fully committed to protecting our staff and members as the COVID-19 situation continues to unfold. We have a business continuity plan in case of a pandemic, natural disaster, or any other situation where business is not able to occur under normal conditions. This means that our members and staff can trust that we are closely monitoring updates from the Centers for Disease Control Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and state and local health agencies.

In Our Branches

  • We have instituted stronger sanitation protocols at all of our branches
  • We have provided hand sanitizer and tissues for both members and staff use
  • Our employees are regularly cleaning frequently touched surfaces including teller areas, pens, and desks
  • Our employees have been educated about proper hygiene and safety practices
  • Our employees have been asked to stay home if they are sick and will be assessed before they return to work

Your Accounts

Rest assured that your accounts are available to you 24/7 through online banking, CU*Talk teller phone, and ATM’s. Our mobile app is free to download for Android and Apple users and features tools to suspend your debit and credit cards, deposit checks, view statements, apply for a loan, and more. If you are not signed up for these services, please contact us at 1-800-691-9299 to learn how you can enroll. This is also a good time to make sure that we have current contact information on file for you, including email, phone and address.

In the Future

We don’t know how COVID-19 will affect our community, but rest assured that VLFCU is working every day to make sure that you, your accounts, and our staff are safe. Should we need to reduce or suspend operations for periods of time, we will post announcements of branch closings and hours on our website, social media pages, and automated phone system.

VLFCU management is also monitoring the ever-changing stock market and will address the impact it has on our members. We will take the necessary steps to assist members with financial hardships as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Be aware that scammers are already embracing the fears and anxiety of the COVID-19 virus. According to the Better Business Bureau, you need to watch “for fake cures, phony prevention measures, and other coronavirus cons.” You can learn about such scams by visiting the websites for the Better Business Bureau or the Federal Trade Commission.  Remember, VacationLand will never contact you and ask you to provide personal information such as your credit card numbers, pin numbers, security codes, or other personal information via phone, text, or email.

Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns. We value your membership and are here to serve you with the respect and care you deserve!
