tofts penn

Earlier this summer, Steve Schuster and his business partner, Jeremiah Robuck, collaborated to open Penn Station East Coast Subs and Toft’s Ice Cream on Route 250. Steve’s family has owned Perkins Restaurant & Bakery in Sandusky for 53 years, so opening a new restaurant is only natural for him. When he realized that the property on Route 250 was more than was needed for Penn Station, he looked to expand his existing business relationship with Toft’s Dairy.

As a local, Steve believes the best business practice is to contract locally. When he was ready to start renovations, he contacted VacationLand Federal Credit Union to discuss financing and then worked with local contractors on all phases of the project. The results have been fantastic, satisfying both tourists and locals.  As the tourist season begins to slow down, Steve and Jeremiah are rolling out a Sandusky Special to show their appreciation of all the locals who support them throughout the year!

From September 2019 to May 2020, you can purchase the 5” sub of the month, small fries, drink, and ice cream for just $9.99. With fresh-cut fries, delicious subs, and 51 flavors of ice cream, this offer is a mouth-watering deal!
