      Buying New vs. Used

      The decision to purchase a new or used recreational vehicle can be a tough one. It comes down to what you want and how much you can afford.

      Buying a new recreational vehicle has many advantages, including getting the RV exactly as you want it, obtaining a full manufacturer’s warranty, and having little if anything to worry about when it comes to repairs.

      However, buying used can be a better choice, especially if your budget is limited. There are many late model recreational vehicles on the market with some of the manufacturer’s warranty remaining.

      Two questions to answer before buying a used recreational vehicle:

      1. Is it in good mechanical shape?
      2. Is it priced fairly?

      Fair market value of the recreational vehicle can be determined easily by consulting any reputable pricing guide on the Internet or here at the credit union.
