Credit Union Appreciation Day is Thursday, October 17th!
Formally known as International Credit Union (ICU) Day®, it has been celebrated on the third Thursday of October since 1948. It’s a day for credit unions to raise awareness about the great work we do around the world, and a day to give members the opportunity to get to know us better. It’s also a day for us to show members how much we appreciate YOU – our way of saying “thanks” for your loyalty, confidence, and for making VacationLand your preferred financial partner.
Credit Union “Member” Appreciation Day will be celebrated at all five VacationLand branches with fun, refreshments, giveaways, prize drawings, and the announcement of the “Let’s Make Memories Sweepstakes” contest winner. The “Let’s Make Memories Sweepstakes” asked our members to submit a photo and a milestone memory made possible with the help of VLFCU. Each entry was entered into our drawing for a chance to win a Canon EOS Rebel T7 Digital SLR Camera and Travel Bundle, valued at approximately $850.00. Entries will be accepted until October 11th. Every one of our valued members is encouraged to stop by on October 17th and see who wins, join in the fun, and also receive free, secure document shredding.
The credit union philosophy, “people helping people”, continues beyond Credit Union Appreciation Day. As we celebrate you on October 17th, please help make the cold winter months a little more enjoyable for our local families in need in Erie and Huron counties. Each of our branches will be accepting donations of gently used warm apparel including coats, hats, gloves, scarves, sweaters, snow pants, and boots during our Coats for Caring program. Feel free to help warm the North Coast on this day, or any day, during the month of October.
