Let’s Celebrate Our Youth in April!

April is Credit Union Youth Month, and VacationLand Federal Credit Union is celebrating with contests and saving incentives throughout the month. Now through April 30, 2026, VLFCU members up to the age of 19 are eligible to participate.

According to Heather Gilchrist, AVP of Marketing, “VacationLand Federal Credit Union is committed to helping our young members establish good saving habits and educating students of all ages about creating goals and working toward financial independence. We love celebrating our youngest members during Credit Union Youth Month, but we also provide financial education throughout the year on a variety of topics including credit scores, budgeting, banking basics, and more.”

Parents and grandparents are encouraged to learn more about youth accounts including the Cub Club Savings account, youth share certificates, and Teen accounts. Teenagers may also benefit from services such as Shared Branching, online banking, and the VLFCU mobile app. Additionally, all new members aged 19 and younger will receive a gift when they open an account.*

All of VacationLand’s branches are celebrating and rewarding kids and teens for completing financial activities.

Members up to the age of 12:

• Receive double Club tokens for each daily deposit of $10 or more.
• Enter to win a $10 dividend by submitting a photo or drawing of something you are saving your money to purchase.
• Up to 3 winners at every branch!
• Pick up Berenstain Bear activity sheets in any of our lobbies.

Members age 13-19:

• Earn a $10 dividend when you complete a financial-related course by April 30, 2026. Scan or click the QR code to get started.**
• Enter to win a $10 dividend by completing an entry form and answering the question: “What can VLFCU do to help prepare you for the future?” Up to 3 winners at every branch!

*Membership eligibility is required with a minimum deposit of $5.00 in a Savings Account. No purchase necessary. Berenstain Bears Cub Club accounts are available for members up to the age of 12 years.
