5/8/2020 Update: Opening Preparations Underway

Let us just start by saying we miss you! The staff and managers at VLFCU are diligently working on a plan to reopen all five of our branches.

The safety of our members and employees is always our priority, and we are making strides to provide a sanitary and healthy environment for everyone. These safety measures do take time to implement, and we thank you for your patience!

When our lobbies open back up for daily business, they will look different. Here’s an idea of what you can expect:

  • Plexiglas screens installed at our teller pods and the desks of employees serving members
  • Directional arrows indicating how to proceed through the branch
  • Floor decals indicating social distancing standards of six feet
  • Staff wearing facial coverings/masks
  • A dedicated Entrance and Exit at our branch on Perkins Ave. in Sandusky

There are other safety measures you won’t necessarily see, but can rest assured are in place for you.

  • We installed new iWave filtering systems on all of the HVAC units
  • Staff will be regularly sanitizing frequently touched surfaces throughout the day
  • Social distancing measures and proper hygiene will be exercised by all staff

As soon as final details are complete, we will announce the reopening of our branches on all channels available to us including our website, social media, emails, electronic signage, and any other method available to our Marketing Department.

In the meantime, you can still call to make an appointment to access your safety deposit box, close on loan paperwork, open a new account, and any other business that requires a face-to-face encounter. Other transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier checks, and more can be made by visiting one of our drive-throughs during banking hours Monday-Saturday.

If you want around the clock access to your account, consider enrolling in It’s Me 24/7 Online Banking. This free service allows you to transfer funds, pay your Visa® credit card and other loans, view and print statements, and even pay bills. (Bill Pay is included if you sign up for e-Statements.)

Take your online banking with you wherever you go when you download our mobile app, which offers instant card controls and remote deposit capture.

To enroll in Online Banking or if you have questions about our mobile app, give us a call at 1-800-691-9299.

Please remember that our staff is here for you now. We are literally a call or a click away when you need us. Thank you for your membership and thank you for allowing us the time to prepare our branches for everyone’s safety. We look forward to seeing you soon!

3/18/2020 Update: How to Access Your Accounts While Our Lobbies Are Closed

VacationLand Federal Credit Union has decided to take additional precautionary measures to protect our staff, members, and the communities we serve.  As of March 19, 2020, all of our lobbies will be closed to the membership.  Appointments will be scheduled for members who need to close on loans, access safe deposit boxes, and other situations deemed necessary.  Representatives will be available to take your calls during regular business hours. Drive through services and night depository boxes will still be available to our members.  Your accounts can also be accessed through online banking, our mobile app, and CU*Talk teller phone.

As the situation continues to develop, we will update our website and social media sites with any changes in hours or operation.  We ask our members to trust that we have your best interest in mind, and we are available by phone during regular business hours at 1-800-691-9299.   After hours, you can contact us through our website, and we will respond on the next business day.

For those of you who are experiencing a financial hardship, we have added a Loan Extension Form to our website.  If you need to make other arrangements, our Collections department is available by phone to work with you on a repayment strategy.

We are all in this together and thank you for your understanding as we do our part to keep our community safe.  Our staff will work diligently to provide you with the quality financial services you need.

Thank you and best wishes,
